Cookbook & TV-show Launch

Ladies and gentlemen, My Cookbook and TV-show aired July 27th – YEAH! (and we celebrate with a recipe further down the blog)

Needless to say you can get the book from my shop We ship World wide! and you can catch the show on Prime video  – If you share and favorite it I will give you good omen in the kitchen and on the road for EVER – I promise for real – and don’t forget to share it with all your friends and family and co-workers and enemies and neighbors…. you get it  😉 !


The show is inspired by My first book The Grand Tour Cookbook (also available in my shop) 

How did it all happen you ask ?

I know – it is crazy, but The Grand Tour Cookbook ended up in the hands of an american Producer named Christof Bove, who by pure luck ended pitching the concept to Amazon after his wife had said: “this cookbook would make a great show”. And so I woke up one morning with a message in every possible inbox (twitter, instagram, facebook, email, linkedin… etc.) With the same message: “I am an american Producer I want to get in touch with you regarding a TV-show based on the Grand Tour Cookbook”
Uhhh…. Talk about waking up to a crazy message. I obviously instantly thought it was a prank… But almost 2 years later – it turned out not to be.

The rollercoaster ride started and we made a sizzle, I got flown to LA and had the insane experience of getting an entertainment lawyer and negotiating a talent contract with a giant network, Amazon. – Just to make it clear, this might be everyday business for some, but surely not for me. Mahogni tables in sky scrapers and Kick-off meetings.

So here is the one thing that turned out to be a very “me” thing. I apparently have a tendency to swear and say “inappropriate things” in front og large groups of people (Not like full blown tourettes) I have come to the conclusion after this experience and spending many years around american people. The danish people come out a little loud and direct. Never the less, The beauty of TV is that you can polish off all the dirty words. (Who knows at some point they might release the X-rated version) Anyway – sorry mom and dad – I don’t mean to swear… that much. And yes – your kids can watch – don’t worry it’s all good times in the show!

The show takes you behind the scenes at the worlds biggest yearly sporting event on the planet, A tour of the culinary epicenter of the world.  We visit the French country side and it’s passionate farmers and producers and taste and cook out way through the amazing landscape.

But but but… where is the recipe ?

– It’s right here, it’s easy , delicious and fast to make – you can play around with the flavors as you like.

Cookie dough oat bars

80 g rolled oats
2 tbsp. chia seeds
280 g almonds
½ tsp. salt
¼ tsp. cinnamon
25 g natural protein powder
1 tbsp. vanilla extract
600 g medjool dates
2 tbsp. coarse cane sugar
40 g chocolate chips

 

Combine everything except chocolate chips in a food processor with the S-blade attachment. Add chocolate chips and pulse 2-3 times.

Roll into balls or shape as desired.

 

Keep in the fridge in an air-tight container for up to 2 weeks or in the freezer for up to 3 months. – Show me your bars on social media 😀 can’t wait to see.
